2026 TDA Troupe Invitation Information

What is Troupe at TDA?

Our Troupe Program is about more than just competitions. It’s designed to build confident, passionate performers & humans who shine both on and off the stage. Dancers in Troupe develop technique, artistry, and self-belief while performing alongside teammates who share their dedication and love for dance. Our troupes participate in a mixture of eisteddfods and community events throughout the year, giving them multiple opportunities to perform.

Our Troupe dancers are placed into teams based on age and experience. These groups are known as Sapphire, Topaz and Ruby, helping us ensure that dancers are working alongside others at a similar stage in their dance journey.

Why Join Troupe?

Being part of Troupe provides so much more than extra training hours:

Confidence & Self-Esteem: Through regular performances, dancers grow in courage, stage presence and self-worth.

Teamwork & Resilience: Our troupes foster a strong sense of unity, respect and shared achievement.

Performance Opportunities: From local community events to eisteddfods, dancers gain valuable performance opportunities and experiences

Technical & Artistic Growth: With a focus on excellence and passion, dancers extend their skills across multiple styles.

Memorable Moments: There are so many moments big and small that make being part of our TDA Troupe an unforgettable journey.

Troupe Expectations

We’re so proud to offer a program that supports growth, teamwork and performance excellence. To help our Troupe run smoothly, here are the key expectations families need to know:

Rehearsals - We aim to limit additional rehearsals as much as possible. However, to ensure dancers are confident and stage-ready, we may request extra rehearsals during weekends or school holidays. Advance notice will always be given, and we ask families to be as flexible as possible with availability.

Attendance - Consistent attendance is essential, and dancers should only miss a maximum of 1 lesson per term. Missed choreography will not be re-taught in class, so dancers will need to catch up via BAND or with a teammate.

Core Class Commitment -Troupe is an extension of regular training – not a replacement. All required weekly classes must continue to be attended.

Payments & Refunds - We aim to make all Troupe-related fees as clear and transparent as possible. All relevant fees can be found in the information above; these include registration, tuition, and costume costs. To ensure your dancer receives their costumes and can participate in performances, fees must be paid by the due dates. As all items are organised in advance, no refunds are available for missed classes, events or costumes.

Media Consent - Parents consent to their child’s photos being used for promotional purposes in line with our Media & Photo Consent Policy.

Behaviour & Presentation - Our Troupe dancers are role models within our studio. We expect behaviour that amplifies our studio values, a positive attitude and a growth mindset. All troupe members are to have the correct uniform and hair at all times.

Solos, Duos & Trios

Troupe dancers also have the exciting opportunity to extend their performance experience by participating in a solo, duo or trio if they wish.

These routines are performed at eisteddfods and community events throughout the year and are a wonderful way for dancers to build confidence, stage presence and individual artistry.

More information about eligibility, fees, requirements and commitments will be released soon. Participation is optional and by application, and all performers must also be part of a Troupe team. Please tick the box to register your interest on the Troupe registration form below.
